• Why does my machine take a long time to come ready when you first start it up and in-between copies? |
|
| Our Sharp equipment's toner systems are made to run completely dry of toner before you need to replace it. Our copiers programmed to try to add toner for up to three minutes before turning on the toner light. This means that sometimes the machine will run and run while making copies and may even make some clunking, whiping or clicking noises while it runs. This is perfectly normal and do not fear as there is nothing wrong with your machine, it's just a little hungry for toner. The toner light will come on eventually and you'll have to then replace the toner and your problem will be solved. If you own an AR-160, 161, 200, 201, or 205 and you replace or recently replaced (under 100 copies) the toner and it is still trying to add toner, you may have a broken toner motor and need it replaced. You should then call in a service call or place one online. |
